VizRT Design Specialist

AE graphics are currently looking to recruit an experienced VizRT Design Specialist to be part of our growing design team in the UK.

  • Building and maintaining VizRT content consistent with the design structure and layout supplied.
  • Coming up with original design concepts and ideas.
  • Helping with the creation, on-site set-up and delivery of technically challenging solutions on VizRT.
  • Working to tight-deadlines and in high-pressured live broadcast environments.
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with all parties involved in delivering a gfx package.
Skills & Requirements
  • 5+ years’ experience with VizRT. Including Engine, Artist, Trio, Pilot, Arena, Libero and Virtual Studio.
  • Knowledge of Transition Logic and Viz Scripting.
  • Experience in building and delivering AR & VR graphics.
  • Familiarity with TV broadcast equipment and common interface standards.
  • Passion for design and creativity with an eye for detail.
  • Can develop striking and original animations.
  • Solid understanding of live broadcast.
  • Keen knowledge and awareness of sport.
  • Can work weekends when required and take after-hours support calls when needed.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willing to work nights and weekends when required.
  • Ability to travel overseas, sometimes on a moment's notice.

Trainee Sports Television Graphics Operator

Alston Elliot is looking for someone with a passion for sport to join our graphics operating team to help cover some of the biggest sporting broadcasts around the world. The successful candidate will receive training to develop the necessary skills in order to operate our bespoke software and data systems, resulting in them contributing to the television coverage they have grown up watching.

The Role
  • Operate Alston Elliot's systems to provide live graphics to some of the world's leading broadcasters including Sky Sports, BT Sport, BBC and ITV
  • Travel to the sporting events around the UK and abroad
  • Work a varied schedule often doing unsociable hours
  • Drive vans to and from venues
  • Rigging equipment on site
The Ideal Candidate
  • Full UK driving licence is a must
  • Good understanding of multiple sports such as football, rugby and cricket
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong command of the English language

  • Organised, punctual and have an exceptional level of concentration

Outside Broadcast Rigger & Driver

Job Description

Alston Elliot is a world leading sports television graphics company delivering live real-time 3d and 4k graphics, augmented reality, touchscreens and data solutions to some of the world's top broadcasters, production houses and governing bodies.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role, we are seeking experienced and responsible drivers to transport our Outside Broadcast (OB) vans to venues throughout the UK and Europe to provide rigging and technical support to our operating team working onsite. A Category C1 driving license is preferred pre-employment but not mandatory, however, candidates must have the ability to apply and process an application for this licence. Duties will also include day-to-day vehicle and OB equipment maintenance, preparation and loading of kit on and off vehicles as well as general warehouse duties. Broadcast specific training will be offered in-house.

Key Duties (shall include, but not be limited to):
Driving & Rigging
  1. Driving a range of broadcast vehicles as required to and from OB venues around the UK and Europe.
  2. Collect and deliver Alston Elliot's equipment to broadcast facility companies within the UK.
  3. Forming part of the outside broadcast team once onsite, including rigging cables and technical equipment.
  4. Setup for and complete Unit Managers facilities check, act as point of contact with client until operators arrive onsite.
  5. De-rigging cables and technical equipment.
Other duties
  1. Plan travel and accommodation with the Operations department.
  2. Assist with general day-to-day maintenance and roadworthiness of fleet.
  3. Planning and booking scheduled vehicle maintenance.
  4. Assist with maintenance of cables and technical equipment.
  5. Warehouse planning, including equipment storage. Movement and general housekeeping.
